Senior Engineer - Highways

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the design, planning, and delivery of highways infrastructure and active travel schemes
• Providing technical oversight and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Managing contracts under NEC4 conditions
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community and regulatory expectations
• Supervising consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Conducting regular site visits and inspections
• Preparing and presenting project reports and updates to clients and stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highways engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of highway design principles and relevant software
• Proficiency in contract management, particularly NEC4
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
